A carer is someone who gives unpaid support to a friend or family member who can’t manage alone because of illness, disability, mental health issues, or addiction.

Financial support for carers
You may be entitled to a Carer’s Allowance is £62.10 a week to help you look after someone with substantial caring needs. You don’t have to be related to, or live with, the person you care for.
